Abstract
Database is a very important tool in a computer system that is built, especially in an agency and large-scale company. Database processing is demanded to be handled quickly and efficiently. In data processing, data loss problems often occur due to negligence or system failure while working. To deal with this problem, it is better to have a backup of the data. One of the database processing is by clustering the database using Galera Cluster. It is not only enough to back up data, it is also expected that data processing is done quickly and safely. For this reason, the use of HAProxy and Maxscale database proxies also supports handling requests from clients who want to access data in the database. From the test results using requests as many as 1000 clients who access the database by passing HAProxy, the results on the Average Service Availability diagram or the average time the database is served when experiencing query attacks are 15.07% and the possibility of the server failing is 0%. While the use of Maxscale as a proxy database shows Average Service Availability of 14.93% and the possibility of a server down is 0% or does not indicate a server down. there is not much difference in the values detected from the two proxy database models, there is a difference of 0.14% more optimal than Maxscale.
