Abstract
Javanese wedding ceremonies have many series of processions that must be passed, so it takes an attendant to lead the event. The presenter uses language style by using word choices that contain aesthetic elements. Many found repetition of consonants or alliteration and repetition of vowels or assonance in the speech. This study discusses 2 problems, That’s (1) How to form alliteration language style on pewara’s pranatacara speech in text and text transcription of traditional wedding ceremony in Java? (2) How to form asonance language style on pewara’s pranatacara sppech in text and transcription of traditional wedding ceremony in Java? This study used descriptive research method by language style approach. The data in this study are speech in pewara’s texts of Javanese wedding and speech transcriptions of Javanese wedding announcers be form of words and phrases. That’s speech are form of alliteration and assonance language style. In this study, data were obtained from Javanese wedding pewara’s text and video transcript. Data analysis process in this study begins by conducting a study obtained from pewara’s speech in Javanese traditional wedding ceremonybe form pewara’s text and transcription. Then the researcher collected data in the form of words or phrases that contained alliteration and assonant language styles. Next, the data has been collected is classified by the researcher based on alliteration form and assonance language styles. Data analysis process was continued with analysis alliterative form language style by analyzing every word or phrase that had same consonant sound. Asonance data is obtained by analyzing every word or phrase that has same vocal sound. The results of this study indicate that in pewara’spranatacara there are alliteration and assonance language style. Alliteration language style is repetition of consonant letters g, h, j, k, l, m, n, p, r, s, t, u, w, y, and ng which are found at the beginning, middle, and end of words. Asonance language style are vowel repetiton a, i, u, e, and o which found at the beginning, middle, and end of words.
