Abstract
Lead (Pb) is a toxic heavy metal that can pollute the environment. Drosophila melanogaster is a model organism that has the potential to study the phenomenon of phenotypic plasticity. The purpose of this study was to determine the phenotypic plasticity of the wing morphology of D. melanogaster exposed to lead (Pb). The strain used in this research is the strain wild-type and there are four Pb levels given, which were 1000, 1500, dan 2000 ppm. The data collected consisted of the length of the wings and the number of damaged wings. Data collection was carried out in the 15th generation and the data analysis used was descriptive statistical analysis followed by one-way ANOVA test and Bonferroni advanced test. The results showed that there was a significant effect on the wing length of Drosophila from different treatments [H(2) = 17,149, p < 0.001]. test results bonferroni further test results also showed differences in the wing length of Drosophila from different treatments shown in different notations. In the graph of the number of damaged wings, the data shows that the average number of wing defects is 0. Damage to the D. melanogaster wing that occurred in this study, Pb tends to be a substance that can disrupt the body's developmental process and not become a mutagen The results of this research are said to be feasible as a source of learning biology class X KD 3.3 material structure and function of genes, DNA, chromosomes in the nature of living things based on the assessment of research requirements as a source of learning biology.
