Abstract

Tutoring service is a process of assistance provided to students to be able to overcome the problems they face in learning so that after carrying out teaching and learning activities they can achieve learning outcomes that are more in accordance with their abilities, talents, and interests. This study aims to (1) describe the implementation of tutoring services in Mojolangu 5 Malang state elementary schools, (2) describe the obstacles in the implementation of tutoring services in Mojolangu 5 state elementary schools in Malang. This study uses descriptive qualitative research, with descriptive research methods and qualitative research types, namely research used to describe and interpret objects in accordance with what they are. The research instrument is the researcher himself. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that: (1) the implementation of tutoring services has been carried out well. Implementation includes teaching improvement, enrichment, increasing learning motivation, increasing learning skills, and developing good learning attitudes and habits, (2) obstacles in the implementation of tutoring services, namely time, the lack of teacher knowledge, inadequate facilities and infrastructure. The effort made by the teacher was to create a tutor method among other class III students during the learning process in order to minimize the use of time.
