Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the internal control system in disbursing funds for housing ownership credit (KPR), starting from the procedures for credit distribution, the system of authority of related parties, in order to reduce Non Perforrming Loans. This research was conducted at PT. Bank Tabungan Negara branch of Nganjuk Regency using descriptive qualitative methods using primary data sources, secondary data from interviews and documentation. The author concluded that the internal control system at PT. Bank Tabungan Negara branch of nganjuk has been effective and is running according to the existing SOP. However, PT. Bank Tabungan Negara branch of nganjuk that needs to be improved through managing forms that should be printed serial numbers, rotation of positions and improving the system of prudence through a special unit formed to monitor employee performance.
