Abstract

Teaching and learning process is an activity to implement the curriculum in educational institutions so that students can achieve their intended goals. The learning process is one of the important elements to achieve success in learning. In the learning process, there is a transformation process of science and values. Learning activities can be conducted face to face or distance learning (online learning). Face-to-face learning is a learning process which implements direct interaction between students and teachers. The goal of blended learning is to provide the most efficient and effective instruction experience by combining delivery modalities. Blended learning is used to describe learning that mixes various events based on activities, including face-to-face classrooms, live E-Learning, and self-paced instruction. Blended learning usually consists of face-to-face class once per week. However, students equip online learning to complete group projects and other class assignments; in short, it combines the advantages of both online and face to face learning. Instructional communication is communication in the instructional field. In the implementation process, instructional communication contains elements of instructional activities, such as the methods used by teachers, curriculum experts, material designers and others that aim to develop organized plans for learning needs. The Objective of this study is describing teachers’ instructional communication in blended learning. This study used a descriptive design with a qualitative approach because descriptive research involves collecting data in order to test hypotheses or to answer questions concerning the current status of the subject of the study. In this research, the researcher chose the subject by voluntary Sampling The subject in this research was English lecturers. This research was conducted in University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The subjects were some teachers. The data collection in this study, this research used Interview and Observation. In this research, in analyzing the data, the researcher used qualitative data analysis. The qualitative data of this research is analyzed by using inductive analysis method. This technique is used to find the data after coming the real filed. The data analysis in this study can be broken down into three stages; they are Data Reduction, Data Display, and Drawing Conclusion or Interpretation.
