Abstract
One of the phenomena that occur in the current smoking behavior in young women. Many factors that cause young women to smoke, both internal and external factors. This is because young women have backgrounds in different lives, both personal background, family, and social. This study aims to determine how the profile of young women who smoke. This research is a quantitative descriptive research that aims to describe the profile of young women who smoke. Population as well as samples in this research that young women who smoke in the city of Malang. The sampling technique used is incidental sampling. Data collection techniques, using a questionnaire. The data obtained were processed using a percentage formula which then held the classification percentage results. Results were analyzed by descriptive data processing. The conclusion from this study that young women smoking occurred at the age of 15 years and 18 years, due to myself with a desire to experiment or a fad of smoking and the benefits are for complacency. Dangers of smoking for young women can lead to disruption of pregnancy, but adolescents are not afraid of the risks from smoking. Teen smoking in state or positive feelings and not shy when smoking in public. Public places commonly used teenage girls smoking namely nightclubs and private place that is room. Consumption of alcoholic beverages and do not use illicit drugs is an activity other than smoking. Teenage girls get an allowance of less than Rp 500,000, - per month from parents and to set aside money for less than Rp 150,000, - per month to meet the needs of cigarettes about 10 cigarettes a day. Educational Background father most scholars and working as private employees, while most high school education and mother's last work as housewives. Income parents who obtained monthly between Rp 1.000.000, - to Rp 5.000.000, - with two full marital status. Parents know that children of smoking and the presence of family members who smoke. Social relationships, teens have a close relationship with peers and 100% of her friends smoke. In the neighborhood school or college, teens had never smoked and is known by his friends. The relationship with friends and school or college playing friends do not change the smoking behavior of young women. Communities around, do not know if teenagers are smoking and young women respond with casual and not a problem of community response in the neighborhood.
