Abstract
This research entitle ANALYSIS POTENTIAL SECTOR IN PASURUAN . Based on the title, so the problem is potential sectors in Pasuruan which have improved economic. The purposes of of this research are to know the potential sectors in Pasuruan. The instrument of analysis is LQ (Location Quotient) which LQ is used to know the potential sectors in Pasuruan from 2003 until 2005. Based on the analysis criteria of LQ , it can be known from 10 Kecamatan which has research, Kecamatan Gempol has a many potential sectors, there are eight sectors; and then Kecamatan Sukorejo and Pandaan has a seven potential sectors. Based on the analysis criteria of LQ, it can be known that Electric sector, gas and water; Financial sector; Hiring and Service and Services sector are the potential sectors in pasuruan. From the result of this research, it can be concluded that in pasuruan economics, there are three potential sectors which have never change in three years. Therefore, this sectors can be the mainstay to move the other sectors so that it can be accelarate economical growth.
