Abstract
This study entitled "Analysis of Inflation and growth effects of Production Costs On The profit margin on the Food and Beverages Company Going Public in BEI". The purpose of this research is to know how big influence of Production Cost Inflation and Growth in the company's profit margin than Food and Beverages. Analysis tools used in this study is panel data regression, a combination of two data time series and cross section can provide more data so that it will generate degree of freedom (df) is greater, to determine the effect between inflation and growth in production cost profit margin ratio. Using financial statement data for the period 20052008, the rate calculated using the Gross Profit Margin (GPM) at the Food and Beverages The company went public in BEI are PT. PT Aqua Golden Mississippi amounted to 6.02%, of PT. Cahaya Kalbar Tbk amounting to 9.65%, PT. Delta amounted to 25.22% Djakarta Tbk, PT. Mayora Indah Tbk amounting to 22.33%, PT. Multi Bintang Indonesia Tbk 46.25%, PT. Prasidha 11.23% Aneka Niaga Tbk, PT. 21.13% Siantar Top Tbk, PT. Smart Tbk 14.48%. Calculation of production costs is the growth rate of PT. Aqua Golden Mississippi Tbk amounting to 11.47%, PT. Cahaya Kalbar Tbk amounting to 125.98%, PT. Delta Djakarta Tbk amounting to 22.67%, PT. Mayora Indah Tbk amounting to 32.98%, PT. Multi Bintang Indonesia Tbk 15.14%, PT. Prasidha 27.22% Aneka Niaga Tbk, PT. 41.25% Siantar Top Tbk, PT. Smart Tbk 1.05%. While the inflation rate calculation by using the Consumer Price Index (CPI) was in the year 2005 Indonesia has an inflation rate of 17.11%, in the year 2006 amounted to 6.60%, in the year 2007 amounted to 6.59%, in the year 2008 amounted to ( 26.78). Based on the conclusion, it can be concluded that the rate of inflation and growth in production costs affect the level of corporate profit margins at the Food and Beverages during the period 20052008 with a coefficient of determination equal to 96.83%. Partially between the inflation rate did not negatively affect the profit margin between the rate of inflation while the growth rate positively affects the production cost. So that can be implicated to obtain a high level of profit margin, then for company management to pay more attention to the level of growth in production costs, such as looking for suppliers who provide raw material prices are much cheaper so that more efficient control of production costs.
