Abstract
Research type at PT Bank People Indonesia of Tbk and of PT Bank of Central Asian This Tbk use case study having the character of quantitative descriptive. Data the used is data of secunder. Data obtained from Indonesia Bank situs, Bank People Indonesia , Bank of Central Asian with documentation method. Intention of this research is to know monetary performance PT Bank People Indonesia of Tbk and of PT Bank of Central AsianTbk Period 2004-2006 by using method of CAMELS and know better monetary performance among both bank. Analyzer used to assess monetary performance is method of CAMELS (Capital, Asset of Quality, Management, Earning, Liquidity, Sensitivity To Market Risk) matching with rule of Indonesia Bank of No 6/10/PBI/2004 12 April 2004 . Step in analysing that is counting ratio and peringkat component of CAMELS, specifying peringkat of factor of CAMELS and specify composite peringkat of CAMELS. Result Research Of PT Bank People Indonesia Tbk and of PT Bank of Central Asian Tbk Period 2004, 2005 and 2006 obtained result of that peringkat is each bank reside in number 3 meaning bank in a state of healthy enough but there are some weakness of which can cause peringkat of the komosit deteriorate if bank [do] not immediately conduct action is corectional. Than both bank of tesebut have difference in monetary performance during period 2004-2006.
