Abstract
Title of research "System and Structure of Regency / City Economic Growth of East Java". This type of research uses quantitative descriptive method. The data used in this research is secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency of East Java, the East Java regional GDP data year 2000-2007. Data analysis techniques used in this study is the analysis of economic growth and Typology Analysis Klassen. From the results of research can take the conclusion that Mojokerto town has average of the highest economic growth in the amount of 6.15% while the regency is experiencing the lowest economic growth is Pacitan Regency from 2000 to 2007 experienced an average economic growth only by 3.23%. Based on the results of research using Klassen typology analysis can be classified patterns and the structure of economic growth of each Regency are: a Regency that falls into this category and quickly developed a fast growing city of Mojokerto. Categoriesdeveloped regions but stressed this are Gresik, Malang, Sidoarjo, Surabaya, Kediri, East Java. Categories of rapidly developing region are Bojonegoro, Lumajang, Banyuwangi, Magetan, Tulungagung, Ponorogo, Blitar, Probolinggo, Madiun, Blitar, Kota Batu. Later that fall into that category is relatively remote area Pacitan Regency, Trenggalek, Kediri Regency, Bondowoso Regency, Situbondo, Pasuruan Regency, Jombang Regency, Nganjuk Regency, Madiun Regency, Ngawi Regency, Tuban, Lamongan Regency, Bangkalan Regency, Sampang Regency, Pamekasan Regency, Jember Regency, Malang regency, Mojokerto regency, Sumenep, Pasuruan, Probolinggo Regency.
