Abstract
Dam is a water storage building to utilize water resource. A dam certainly has a supporting building component and main construction which function as a barrier to restrict the flow of water. The dam construction is designed as to meet the right and safe criteria in the utilization process. The Tugu dam is expected to be able to meet the needs of irrigation water in Tugu irrigation area (DI) which has an area of 1.106 ha and to meet the water needs in Nglinggis Village, Puncang Anak, Dermosari, Winong, and Tegaren, Tugu Municipality, Trenggalek Regency with 19.589 people in 2042. To address this, the dam construction was designed using rock-filled dam with sloping core type. Then, it was done the stability control on seepage and slope, so it produced security figures which meet the criteria for a safe dam to build. To analyze the slope stability, this study applied Fellenius (Round Glide Slice) which would be controlled by software GeoStudio/Slope-W 2018.The results showed that the most optimal design result is the height of the dam by 97 m, the peak width dam by 13 m, the length of the dam by 437.27 m, and the upstream and downstream slope by 1:3.00 and 1:2.50
