Abstract
Education has a significant function to support human life. That is because education has been an important part of human civilization for centuries. The parents become the first center of education in order to educate the youth. Family environment, especially the parents, is in a strategic position to provide education towards intelligence, character-building or personality to set their preparation in a life as a community. Tarbiyatul Aulad fil Islam in The Novel: Emak Penuntunku dari Kampung Darat sampai Sorbonne by Daoed Joesoef is a research about children education based on islamic perspective. This research has an objective to find out any form of education that consists of an exemplary form, a form of education-with-advice, and a form of education-with-supervision. The method that used in this research is a descriptive with a qualitative approach. The resource of this research is a novel titled: Emak Penuntunku dari Kampung Darat Sampai Sorbonne by Daoed Joesoef third edition year 2010. The data form of this research is a unit of story relating to to the main problem of this research. This research used a literature study in order to collect the data related to this research. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that: (1) The form of education with exemplary consists of the characteristics and actions of parents that are applied in life. The nature of motherhood, love, full of tenderness, firm, intelligent, sociable, and caring. While the nature of the father, firm, strong, gentle, and hardworking. (2) The form of education with advice consists of a method of dialogue, utilizing moments and/or opportunities, and advice by example. The dialogue method is applied with question and answer among members, giving direction, and lectures. Moments / opportunities are applied while in the fields, in daily life, in the forest, at work, and in a state of assembly. While advice-with-examples is implemented by giving concrete examples of the surrounding environment. (3) The form of education with attention and supervision consists of aspects of knowledge, physical aspects, mental aspects, and spiritual aspects.
