Abstract
Today's highly modern society can be said to have advanced bahkkan. Because culture and education are always preferred by them. With the entry and the many cultures that enter the increasingly crowded island of Java, people who come to study walked on Java island. The students who come from various daerahpun from different cultures they have conohnya Madurese culture they brought their culture walaunpun Mudura kepulau East Java is one part of the territory east of Java. Urban community is a community whose life always is homogeneous and memmilii nature of individualism. They are just selfish selfless others can sometimes conflict occurred despite bermusyawah solved. The formulation of the issues raised researcher is how the process of conflict between ethnic Madurese and Javanese in urban communities. Which aims to determine the extent to which students resolve conflicts that they face a different ethnic Madurese and Javanese in trade competition. Penggumpulan technique used observation and interview data. In this study, researchers used a qualitative, as a framework for analysis, the investigator is supported by sociological theories that underlie diantranya Coser and Dharendorf Lowis. The result showed that there is an explanation that conflicts among students in urban communities, many factors that cause conflict terjadiya existing urban community and the issues investigated konnflik students in trade competition.
