Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the effectiveness of adding temulawak flour in ration to consumption and feed conversion in super chicken. The addition of temulawak flour is expected to be used as an herbal medicine. Ginger has an active substance curcuminoid that serves to increase appetite so as to increase consumption and conversion in super chicken. Research done for 56 days, using 100 day old chicken super chicken. Treatment given is feed without addition of temulawak starch (P0); feed with addition of 0.33% of ginger flour (P1), feed with addition of 0.67% temulawak flour (P2), and feed with addition of 1% powder of temulawak (P3). Each treatment was repeated as many as 5 and each repetition consisted of 5 heads using Lengkao Random Design (RAL). If there is a difference will be continued further test with the Smallest Differential Difference Test (BNT) to determine the best treatment. The results showed that the addition of temulawak flour in the ration gave an unreal effect (P> 0,05) on consumption and conversion of super chicken chicken feed. The conclusion of this research is addition of temulawak flour in ration with addition of 1% not yet optimal to consumption and conversion of super chicken chicken feed
