Abstract

"Ekokritik in the Novel of the Anak-Anak Pangaro by Nun Urnoto El-Banbary" is a study of environmental criticism that occurred on the Gili Raja island in Madura. This study aims to find the form of criticism in anthropocentric aspects (1), (2) theocentric (3) biocentric, on environmental damage and find the ecocritical theoretical conception in the Novel of Pangaro Children by Nun Urnoto El-Banbary. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach using a literary ecocritical perspective with descriptive methods. Data and data sources of this study are novels of the Anak-Anak Pangaro by Nun Urnoto El-Banbary. The form of data in this study is in the form of a unit of story relating to research problems, namely: (1) how is the anthropocentric ecocritical expression in the novel " Anak-Anak Pangaro" by Nun Urnoto El-Banbary? (2) how is theocentric ecocritical expression in the novel " Anak-Anak Pangaro" by Nun Urnoto El-Banbary? (3) how is the biosocentric ecocritical expression in the novel " Anak-Anak Pangaro" by Nun Urnoto El-Banbary? (4) how are the findings of the ecocritical theoretical conception in the novel " Anak-Anak Pangaro" by Nun Urnoto El-Banbary? This study uses text analysis (documentation) in data collection and researchers as research instruments. The data analysis techniques used are identification, classification, interpretation, description and verification of data. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be found (1) anthropocentric ecocritics in the form of human behavior with outward interests in social and cultural aspects that explore and exploit nature in the form of human domination of nature and human domination of humans. (2) Theocentric Ekokritik in the form of greed, insubordination and tyranny of nature and God's command by paying attention to the form of divine transcendence and representation of faith (3) Biocentric Ekocritics in the form of natural use by paying attention to the harmony, balance and morals of living things in the ecosystem. (4) Findings of ecocritical theoretical conceptions in the form of propositions in the form of relationships and human influences on the environment. It can be concluded that humans are the causes and breakers of environmental problems as the most dominant creatures in the ecosystem.
