Abstract
Student’s social behavior that is considered inappropriate for the setting or situation which it occurs and can disturb the learning process can be referred as misbehavior. This behavior can reduce time of learning process, even demage the teahcer’s job satisfication. By using self-management methods as an intervention that focus on changing student behavior, it can help teacher to reduce their problems. Self-management is a strategy to change the behavior or habits performed by clients themselves, by doing self-monitoring exercises, excitatory control, and giving self-reinforcement. The purpose of this research is to know whether self-management can be decreased the tendency of elementary school students in doing misbehavior on learning time in class. This is an experimental research, using non-randomized pretest-posttest control group design. The results obtained by using paired sample t-test, that there is a significant change in the tendency of misbehavior students, with a value of p <0.05 (p = 0.006). So it can be concluded that the method of self-management can reduce misbehavior tendencies.
