Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of knowing and analyzing how the Malang District Health Office manages case finding in the TB control program in 2020 – 2021 in an effort to achieve the national TB program target in 2030. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with the type of case study. The subjects of this study were TB program managers at the district / city level and used semi-structured interview instruments, observation instruments and document study instruments. The key informants in this study were 5 people including 1 Head of the Infectious Disease Management and Control Section of the Malang District Health Office, 1 TB Program Manager of the Puskesmas, 1 TB Technical Officer, 1 TB Project Assistant and 1 TB Public Mix Private at the Malang District Health Office.
The result of this study is that the management system in managing the TB program at the Malang District Health Office has been running in accordance with the proper rules. The problem is there are health workers in the clinic and independent doctors who have never attended training and do not perform TB DOTS services causing a break in the chain in TB data reporting. Routine monitoring and evaluation activities carried out by the TB program manager of the Malang District Health Office are an effort to continue to monitor the running of the TB program service management system at the Fasyankes level. In monev activities, in addition to data validation, OJT (On The Job Training) is also carried out as a first step in solutive efforts.
