Abstract
In the rapid population growth, water resources in the world to be one important requirement. Without the availability of air and water, it is probably not the activities of human life in nature. The air is fresh and clean water is essential to make this life pleasant. Plan study area is in the village rather Huyula Mootilango County district of Gorontalo. Most of the residents in this village have livelihoods as farmers. The farm fields are used is a rainfed area during the dry season so that this area is still short of water. It is expected that with the effort to plan dams is mainly for the development of the pattern (the system) so that irrigation can be harvested three times in one year and can meet the needs of clean water for the population sub Mootilango Gorontalo regency. There are 8 alternative cropping patterns used in this study to obtain the optimum area of wetland that is Paddy - Paddy - Crop and Paddy - Crop - Crop with planting time in early November I, November II, December I, and December II. Raw water needs for clean water obtained from the calculation of population projection sub Mootilango Gorontalo Regency until year 2056. From the calculation of water balance, obtained by the effective storage capacity of the dam Bulia was 2.8 x 106 m3. Optimum broad field that can be fed is of 1300 ha with a cropping pattern Paddy - Crop - Crop planting season beginning in November I. The population of sub Mootilango Gorontalo Regency calculation of the projected population by the year 2056 was 40,335 inhabitants with a total maximum demand of clean water for 3,185,928.25 lt / day. From this analysis it turns out that there is availability of water in the dam Bulia be sufficient for the existing water.
