Abstract

This study is carried out at SD Muhammadiyah 4 Batu which has implemented the “KURIKULUM MERDEKA” (Independent Curriculum) in grades I, II, IV and grade V, while for grades III and VI still use “KURIKULUM 2013” (Curriculum 13). The teaching and learning process in the classroom will run effectively and enjoyably if there is a learning media. The purpose of this research is to develop POHON JURANG (Penjumlahan dan Pengurangan). This learning media is aimed to motivate the students in learning mathematic. With the Development of POHON JURANG, the researcher hopes that students will be able to understand the addition amount and subtraction material in Mathematic learning, conducted in grade I Elementary School.
This research used the ADDIE development model which has 5 stages, namely (1) analyze, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, and (5) evaluation. The data was taken in grade I at SD Muhammadiiyah 4 Batu with the total of 27 students and was carried out on August 1-3, 2023.
The results of this study were revealed in a product in the form of learning media called POHON JURANG. The research has gone through various stages of validation, namely material validation, which obtained a percentage of 89.58% and media validation obtained a percentage of 88.63%. This study received a good response from students as evidenced by the evaluation results of 27 grade I students who got an average score of 85%. This research is recommended to all teachers of Elementary School to teach mathematic through “POHON JURANG” as the learning media.
