ANALISIS KINERJA KEUANGAN PADA PT BERAU COAL KABUPATEN BERAU, KALIMANTAN TIMUR PERIODE 2020-2024

This study aims to analyze the financial performance of PT Berau Coal located in Berau Regency, East Kalimantan during the 2020-2024 period using the Economic Value Added (EVA) method through the analysis of Net Operating After Tax (NOPAT), Cost of Capital (CoC), Invested Capital (IC), and Weight Average Cost of Capital (WACC). The research method used is quantitative research with a case study approach. Data collection uses documentation techniques in the form of secondary data in the form of financial reports of PT Berau Coal Energy Tbk from the period 2020 to 2024. Data analysis was carried out using financial ratio analysis. The results of the study indicate that the analysis of the financial performance of PT Berau Coal Energy Tbk using the EVA method shows a positive EVA value in 2020-2022 and in 2024. Meanwhile, in 2023 it produces a negative EVA value. Based on the results of the study, the financial performance of PT Berau Coal Energy Tbk can be said to be good overall. In general, despite fluctuations, the company shows a positive trend in terms of economic value creation exceeding the cost of capital, indicating good financial performance in most periods.
