HUBUNGAN EFIKASI DIRI DENGAN KUALITAS HIDUP PASIEN GAGAL GINJAL KRONIK YANG MENJALANI HEMODIALISIS

Background: Chronic kidney failure is a serious problem in the world, because it is difficults to cure and the cost of treatment and treatment is expensive, while when treatment must be done continuously without stopping. Patients with chronic renal failure (CRF) can experience lifestyle changes as a results of hemodialysis therapy, but hemodialysis therapy is a form of treatment that can help patients maintain their survival. Objective: Determine the relationship of self-efficacy with the qualitynof life of chronic renal failure patients undergoing hemodialysis. Method: This study used a correlational descriptive method with a cross sectional method. The subject in this study were patients with chronic kidney failure who underwent hemodialysis as many as 123 sampling using purposive sampling techniques. Data collecting using 2 questionnaires Chronic Kidney Deases (CKD SE) and Kidney Disease Quality of Life Short Form 36 (KDQOL SF 36). Results: The results of this study showed that out of 123 respondents, 76 people (61.8%) had moderate self efficacy, while 70 people (56.9%) had a moderate quality of life. The results of the spearman correlation test showed a positive relationship between self efficacy and quality of life as evidenced by a correlation coefficient of 0.194 with a significant value of 0.031 (p < 0.05). The strength of the correlation in this study was at a weak level. Conclusion: Respondents at UMM Hospital showed most had moderate self efficacy. Respondents at UMM Hospital showed most had a moderate quality of life. The relationship between self efficacy and quality of life of chronic kidney failure patients at UMM Hospital; has agood relationship with positive direction and weak streangth.
