Abstract

The purpose of this research is to discuss the role of the UNICEF organization in the development of Children's Education and Health in West Nusa Tenggara Province in 2016-2020. In this research, the author focuses on examining more deeply the effectiveness of UNICEF in each program that has been planned by UNICEF in developing children's health and education in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). Apart from that, this research also aims to see the extent of success of government and UNICEF programs in the Health and Education development program in NTB. The research method used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive type of research. The author's observations and discussions with various informants resulted in primary data processing. Books, journals, written reports, websites, interviews, and others. The findings of this research indicate that UNICEF is involved in programs that include Health and Education. Meanwhile, integrating PAUD-HI services, namely education, health and family development for toddlers, into one location for a holistic and integrative approach is the most effective way for the government and UNICEF to work together in implementing the program. In addition, UNICEF has worked to improve the education and health of children in NTB through the Care for Child Development (CCD) program developed with WHO. This program is part of efforts to achieve Sustainable Development Goals to overcome poverty, hunger, health, education, gender equality, clean water, sanitation and peace in NTB.
