Abstract
Public relations ( PR) activity is a series of actions that are aimed an where the public release both process is a unity that is circular, keeps constantly in progress. PR is the field of study related to human characteristics, required sharpness of the sensitivity analysis, and data can be rely. So in implementing the activities a PR practitioner will be using concept of management to facilitate the implementation of duty tasks such as planning and evaluation programs among information centre making. Organizing activities and the public through the press in the form of press releases, articles, radio and newspapers. In this study using diffusion of research information, diffusion is a communication process that defines specific point in the dissemination of information through time and space from one agent to another according to savage ( 1981: 103). One important channel of communications is because the mass media, the diffusion model assumes that the mass media have different times, ranging from taboo o affect the adoption cause or rejection ( acceptance or rejection). This research has the objective to identify public relations activities in disseminating information on government employment programs Gresik district where this study used a qualitative descriptive type conducted in a narrative form with data mining using an interview technique, observation and documentation with an informant who has been determined based on the experience and knowledge informants regarding public relations activities in informing the public work programs, and data was obtained in the analysis, data analysis techniques such as inductive description. Technique examination of the validity of the data by using the triangulation of sources, results of the study of formulate a wide range of public relations activities include : disseminating information to serve the information through the publication of news magazine giri and implement mass media exposure, to re activate the radio function Gresik voice with the community how to interact with derectly by telephone. Carrying out the preaching and increasingmass mediated reporter activities involving journalists in each activity and provide training to journalists, and making event In implementing activities, public relations not quit with the constraints that met among other obstacles during the process of the work program is not all citizens have a radio and television a Gresik so the information was stagnating. And still there is the assumption by some people that the local government program is not so attractive and profitable, so that people do not need to participate and assist the local government of Gresik. The lack of communication between public relations and community of it. In general constraint on the face in the work program is the human resource problems that have not been maximized. Willingness operational funds hampered because of bureaucratic problems, and the existence of things that do not fit between theory and reality, it’s usually found on the field.
