Abstract

Viewing the phenomenon of educated unemployment in Indonesia, especially college graduates and the importance of entrepreneurship to eliminating unemployment, the growth in student entrepreneurship intentions is considered important. We have for Indonesian students to graduate is no longer guaranteed to get a job. Therefore, students should recognize another alternativecareer choice after graduation, and one of them is entrepreneurship. It's just a person in entrepreneurship can not be separated from the barrier. The amount of resistance in entrepreneurship with risk of failure will impact on one's intention to entrepreneurship. Without a high Adversity Quotient is feared someone would of frustration and uncertainty in the process of undergoing an entrepreneur later on. The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship between Adversity Quotient with the students entrepreneurship intentions The research was non experiment research, whereas this kind of research is quantitative. The sample in this study were students of the Faculty of Agriculture University of Muhammadiyah Malang semesters 5 and 7, and the samples consisted of 100 people. Sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with sample criteria are students who have taken courses in entrepreneurship, with a range of age 19 24 years. Research instruments used was scale, that was Adversity Quotient scale and entrepreneurship intention scale. Data analysis method used was product moment correlation assisted by SPSS for windows computer program. Based on the results of data analysis using product moment correlation has been done can be concluded that there was a positive relationship and very significant (r = 0.561; p = 0, 000) between Adversity quotient with the student entrepreneurship intentions. It means that the higher Adversity Quotient is owned by the students, entrepreneurship intention of these students would be high too, so that the opposite, more lower the Adversity Quotient is owned by students, the entrepreneurship intention would be lower. So that could be concluded that the hypothesis was acceptable. Adversity Quotient effective contribution to the students entrepreneurship intentions of 31, 5%, while rest of them 68, 5 % considered by other variables not examined.
