Abstract
Caleg or calon legislatif it means legislative candidate, the real purpose being legislative candidate is represent people voice, and the way is being member of parlement. At this time, it’s so easy for everyone to be a candidate, recruitment system for candidate seems like same seek workers, with make an information and then many people stand in line to sign in. National election which held on April 9th 2009 ago had raised many problems, especially for candidates who was felt pressure caused his failed. Few week after quick count carried out there also raised interested fenomena and we need to concern about this, many legislative candidate were stress caused they had spend a lot of money but they were not choosed, from this fenomena, researcher took title illustration of stressed and coping stress by legislative candidate whom failed on national election of 2009. this research purposed is to knowing how illustrated from stress and coping stress strategy by failed candidate. This research use qualitative descriptive method which result descriptive data kind of words from the subject. Subject on this research is legislative candidate which failed on national election of 2009, there are three subject. Data gathering used by researcher is interview and use descriptive qualitative as data analysis and data validity use triangulation technique by use secondary informant like wife of subject. The result showed illustrated of stress and coping strategy to face defeated, there are two subject in stress condition, indicated by aspect use as indicator stress happened, and one subject unstressed condition, it seems have interrelated with coping strategy used, stress subject use coping avoidant and coping confrontation and the one unstressed subject use coping positive reppraisal.
