Abstract
UD. Santoso, Sumbersari – Banyuwangi is an company that produce rise seed type : Ciherang, Mikungga, IR64, Nira I, Cigelis, and Towuti. in this research the writter especcially to product rice seed type of ciherang. good market complementation of the product .UD, Santosa needed two storage which control distribution product, through sumbersari storage and wongsorejo storage that have the same destination area. Bold of them allocated their own product with apropriate storage request without any good confirmation. This case maked acomodation cost the company in increase, becaused of alocation system product do not succsess to the reach destination area. Transportation model is one of a model that we are using to minimize cost distribution product. With analysis that a sources become destination and on the contrary a destination can be sources too. This analysis begin with plooting data histories selling on january until december 2009 to know predition method that suitable. Prediction result by smallest MAPE is a request of data on january until march 2010 that will be analyzed using transportation methods, VAM and MODI with helping QS programs. Before we analyzed with Transportation Method, total cost that we have to spent money on distribution system are Rp. 76.157.300,- and after we using transportation method analysis it give suggestion distribution system with total cost are Rp. 68.283.300,- so economizing that we are Rp.7.874.000,- or 10.3 % from cost before analyzed.
