Abstract
Wall shear (Shear Wall) is one of the lateral load resisting elements that work on the building due to earthquake. Shear walls is very important to apply to the building because of remembering the location of parts of Indonesia are located in areas prone to earthquakes because earthquakes are three lanes in the world two of which meet in Indonesia. With the problem above how we analyze and plan the structure of shear walls in earthquake prone areas, because by using shear walls as lateral force resisting structure by the earthquake are very efficient as most of horizontal shear forces detained shear walls. Broadly speaking, the shear wall structural design stage and construction stage of the calculation of statics section. Statics phase construction includes the building mass calculations, shear force or the level of earthquake force to get a moment later assisted by the program SAP 2000. Phase cross-section calculations include the calculation of moments and shear wall reinforcement calculations in accordance with SNI 03-2847-2002. In the structural design of reinforced concrete frame, using the strength of concrete 30 MPa and 400 MPa steel quality, for the dimensions of the beam (400 x 700 mm), and column (700 x 700 mm). Calculation of shear walls using 200 mm thick reinforced using 50 D20-300 for vertical reinforcement and 25 Ø12-200 for horizontal reinforcement.
