Abstract

The development of a region characterized by an increase in the movement and also the need for transportation is almost no impact in each area with developments that occurred since then the flow of goods and human keluarmasuknya will also increase. So the inevitable traffic jams, especially in centers of this activity caused by public transportation or other transportation is not regular, on-street parking and others. Evaluation is used referring to the Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual 1997 with several stages of calculation, namely the calculation of free flow speed, capacity and degree of saturation current conditions (year 2006) and alternate conditions. In the segment Jl. P. Sudirman have this level of underperformance is so good, it is because these roads are commercial areas with a high side friction. This problem can be judged from the degree of saturation (DS) of 0.83 in the north market, 0.82 and 0.82 before the market south of market, which means larger than the maximum value ≥ 0.8. To improve the performance of the road then do the direct current system mainly light vehicles that will enter the market through Jl. Market South and exit Jl. Market the North to obtain the value of DS on Jl Panglima Sudirman north of 0.77, ahead of the market amounted to 0.76 and 0.76 for the southern market.
