Abstract
Project development Micro-Hydro Power Plant (MPP) in Muhammadiyah University of Malang Campus III aims to harness the potential of natural resources around him. And based on preliminary studies that have been there before, carrying Brantas river discharge data on average monthly maximum 17.872 m3/sec (January 2004) and debit the minimum monthly average 0.808 m3/sec (November 1997). With raw area IN fields Sengkaling Right & Left early 2200 Ha (1897), shrank to 194.00 Ha at D.I. Sengkaling the Left (2006) and 81.00 hectares at AT Sengkaling Right (2006). Potential water resources are left due to the reduction of irrigation water requirements, supported with the existing topography around campus UMM allows for developed Micro Hydro Power (MHP). From the results of the discussion and analysis, plan design channel dimensions obtained carrier b = 1.00 m and h = 0.50 m. Ponds (L) = 12.00 m, (B) = 6.00 m and (H) = 4.00 m. Rapid pipe d = 0.711 m and 0.60 cm thick, Type X-Flow turbine T- 15, D500-160. The foundation blocks for the generator and the coupling B = 1.2 m, L = 2.0 m, H = 0.8 m, with a carrying capacity of land a permit qijin = 30.52 t/m2.
