Abstract

The recent issue is the proliferation of teenage delinquency. In current cases of juvenile delinquency, the direction is towards actions that involve criminal behavior or criminality that place children in conflict with the law. The deviations committed by adolescents mostly include cases of sexual harassment, violence, drug abuse, fights, theft, and other legal violations. Consequently, in order to mitigate these deviations, further rehabilitation is necessary, conducted by the Class I Special Juvenile Rehabilitation Institution in Blitar. The purpose of this study is to explain social actions within the guidance of children in conflict with the law. It also aims to describe the rehabilitation programs provided to children facing legal issues at the Blitar Class I Special Juvenile Rehabilitation Center. This research employs a qualitative research design with a descriptive narrative approach. Data collection techniques for this study include interviews, observations, and documentation. Meanwhile, subject recruitment for this study utilizes purposive sampling technique. The findings of this study indicate that the social actions implemented by the Class I Special Juvenile Rehabilitation Institution in Blitar encompass rational instrumental actions, rational value-based actions, and traditional actions. Meanwhile, the rehabilitation program comprises personality development, which includes physical, intellectual, social, mental, and spiritual development. Furthermore, the self-sufficiency program consists of activities within the institution such as sewing, gardening, handicrafts, making foot mats, as well as external activities like mobile phone service training, air conditioning service, music, cooking, and fish hatchery.
