Abstract

The social solidarity of Aremania towards the victims of the Kanjuruhan incident in Malang City is a form of care provided by Aremania to those affected by the Kanjuruhan incident. In this solidarity, Aremania plays a crucial role in addressing the issue. This can be seen in the social solidarity shown by Aremania towards the victims and their families who were impacted. This research aims to describe the forms of social solidarity shown by Aremania towards the victims of the Kanjuruhan incident in Malang and the factors that contribute to the emergence of this social solidarity. Data collection techniques used in this research include observation, interviews, and document analysis. The selection of research subjects uses purposive sampling technique by Sugiyono, and data validity is assessed using credibility testing. The research results indicate various forms of social solidarity and the factors contributing to the social solidarity of Aremania towards the victims of the Kanjuruhan incident in Malang. Forms of solidarity that represent mechanical solidarity include demonstrations, the dissemination of information, and a sense of togetherness. On the other hand, organic solidarity takes the form of volunteer services, fundraising, material aid, and emotional and mental support. The factors contributing to mechanical solidarity are solidarity, shared struggles, and mutual dependency. As for organic solidarity, it is based on common interests, a shared interest in pursuing well-being, and cultural factors and empathy.
