PERAN PEKERJA SOSIAL DALAM BIMBINGAN KETERAMPILAN USAHA DISABILITAS NETRA DI UPT REHABILITASI SOSIAL BINA NETRA MALANG

People with disabilities have become a major concern in efforts to create a more just and equitable society. Visual disability, or loss of vision, is one form of disability that affects an individual's ability to access information, communicate, and participate in daily activities. According to the latest data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of East Java Province, the number of visually impaired people reached a fairly high number, namely 5,987 people. Social work is a profession that aims to help individuals, groups, and communities to improve their social abilities and create an environment that encourages well-being in various aspects of life, such as economic, spiritual, social, and psychological. The research aims to describe the role of social workers in guiding the business skills of visually impaired disabilities at the UPT Social Rehabilitation Center for the Blind in Malang. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive type. The results of the study show that the role of social workers in guiding business skills at the UPT Social Rehabilitation Center for the Blind in Malang is as follows: Role as an Educator by providing motivation from preparatory classes to vocational classes. Role as an Empower by optimizing and empowering the results of business skills from beneficiaries, especially in massage, reflexology, and shiatsu. Role as a Group Facilitator by providing beneficiaries with facilities to participate in annual exhibition events.
