Abstract

Problem: Educational game "Kahoot!" for Technology for Child has proven itself to be an effective learning tool for young children, but faces several problems in its current interface. Key issues include difficult to understand navigation and susceptibility to internet connection interruptions, which can disrupt the gaming experience. Along with that, not all children's assistants have the technical ability to design their own quizzes. Method: The research method used was UX Journey to design a new interface "Kahoot!" which is more suitable for early childhood, specifically 4-6 years. Results: The results of this research offer a more intuitive design solution, the addition of offline features, user-friendly pre-made quiz options and other supporting features. In addition, this research underlines the importance of supporting children's companions in the use of these applications through simple guidelines. Conclusion and Development: It is hoped that the proposed design solutions, including navigation improvements, an enhanced offline experience, as well as pre-made quiz options, will provide a better and more educational gaming experience for young children. In addition, providing a simple guide for accompanying children who are not yet technologically literate will also ensure that this game is accessible to as many users as possible. This research encourages the development of educational games that are more user-friendly, responsive and appropriate to the needs of young children, as well as supporting their development through technology.
