KONSTRUKSI MEDIA ONLINE CNNINDONESIA.COM DALAM PEMBERITAAN ISU LGBT BAND THE 1975 (Analisis Framing Artikel Tentang Pembatalan Konser Band The 1975 di Indonesia Periode 23 Juli 2023)

This study aims to determine the framing of CNNIndonesia.com online media on the news of the LGBT issue of The 1975 band. The method used in this research is interpretative qualitative using Robert N. Entman's framing analysis method, which consists of four elements, namely problem identification, define causes, make moral judgments, and treatment recommendations. These four elements can explain the framing by a media and are used to determine the construction of social reality built by CNNIndonesia.com. The results showed that the framing built by CNNIndonesia.com from the three news articles studied was filled with concert cancellations due to LGBT issues by Matty Healy. This research shows that; 1) There is a pattern of framing the LGBT issue of The 1975 on CNNIndonesia.com news. 2) Overall, CNNIndonesia.com's coverage emphasized the violation of the anti-LGBT law by The 1975 band in Malaysia. 3) Overall, CNNIndonesia.com presents a different perspective where Matty Healy is placed as the main source in order to provide space for the reasons behind the same-sex kissing action which is closely related to LGBT activities. 4) Overall, CNNIndonesia.com also presents space for fans of The 1975 band in Indonesia as sources for the disappointment that arose because of Matty Healy's actions.
