Abstract

One important element in community development is education and the state. The quality of education is closely related to the level of student motivation to learn. High learning motivation certainly results in better academic achievement, more efficient learning and more active student participation in the learning process. This motivation can be increased in various ways, including with help and motivation from the family environment, especially parents and also the teacher's communication skills. The family's socio-economic background has an urgent role in influencing students' learning motivation. Families have various responsibilities for children's education, and play a role in shaping children's character and educational development. Apart from family socio-economic support factors, student learning motivation is also influenced by teacher competence. Teachers' interpersonal skills include understanding individual differences among students, the ability to motivate them, communicate effectively and efficiently, and the ability to collaborate with students.
This research uses a qualitative approach. Meanwhile, the type of research used in this research is causality, the object of research is MA Plus Keterampilan Al-Islam Wonokerto, which is located at Jl. Diponegoro No. 45, Wonokertopasar, Wonokerto, Kec. Bantur, Malang Regency, East Java. The sample from this research is Class XI students. The data collection techniques used include distributing questionnaires and documentation. And the data analysis techniques used are multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination test and hypothesis testing in the form of partial and simultaneous tests.
Based on the results of research by analyzing the data that has been obtained, the results show that partially (each) the teacher communication competency variable and the family socio-economic variable have a significant influence on the learning motivation of class XI MA Plus Keterampilan Al-Islam Wonokerto students. And simultaneously (together) the variables of teacher communication competence and family socio-economics have a significant influence on the learning motivation of class XI MA Plus Keterampilan Al-Islam Wonokerto students.
