Abstract

The Asia Pacific region has a significant influence on the international world, where this region has a strategic location in international trade routes. The United States is a superpower country in the international world and in the Asia Pacific region. However, over time, the position of the United States as a superpower slowly shifted in the balance of the international system. On the other hand, China has emerged as a country that has strong economic power. In expanding its economic influence in the Asia Pacific region, China is implementing several economic strategies, one of which is through the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) economic cooperation. As a superpower country in the Asia Pacific region, the United States certainly needs to balance its power with China through cooperation on the Indo-Pacific Economy Framework (IPEF). This research aims to analyze the United States' strategy in countering China's economic dominance through the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) in the Asia Pacific region. This research uses qualitative research methods with sources taken, namely literature through articles, journals, the internet and sources related to this research. In helping to answer the research question, the author uses neoliberal institutional research theory and international cooperation. IPEF cooperation is a modern regional cooperation framework that aims to build cooperation and economic integration in the Asia Pacific region by building high standard commitments that deepen the economic involvement of partners through four pillars: (1) Trade, (2) Supply Chains, (3) ) Clean Economy, (4) Fair Economy.
