Abstract

This research aims to determine the factors that influence environmental performance in Batu City MSMEs. This research focuses on the influence of strategic orientation and government regulation by considering green supply chain management as a mediating variable in the relationship. This research was conducted using quantitative methods. The data used in this research is primary data. The data collection technique in this research is through a questionnaire. The sampling technique used in this research was purposive sampling. Data analysis in this research was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) which was operated through the PLS program. The results of the analysis show that strategic orientation and green supply chain management have a significant effect on environmental performance, government regulation does not have a significant effect on environmental performance. Strategic orientation has a significant effect on green supply chain management, while government regulation does not have a significant effect on green supply chain management. Green supply chain management mediates the influence of strategic orientation on environmental performance. Apart from that, green supply chain management does not significantly mediate the relationship between government regulation and environmental performance. This study provides insight into the factors that influence environmental performance.
