ANALISIS PERAN PETUGAS LEMBAGA PEMASYARAKATAN DALAM UPAYA PENCEGAHAN PENYELUNDUPAN NARKOTIKA (Studi di Lapas Kelas I Kota Madiun)

In correctional facilities, narcotics smuggling is still a serious problem there. So with this incident, prison officers continue to increase their vigilance in maintaining security and order in Madiun City Prison, so that this incident does not happen again and create a safe environment in Madiun City Prison. However, in carrying out their duties there are obstacles faced by prison officers. This article aims to determine the role of correctional officers and the obstacles faced by officers. The method used in this writing is sociological juridical with data collection techniques in the field and then analyzed from the data obtained. This research produces several conclusions, namely that the Madiun City Class 1 Correctional Institution provides guidance, services, and improves security and security to inmates. The obstacles faced by prison officers are the lack of prison officers, excess population, lack of facilities and infrastructure.
