Pencegahan Kekambuhan Penyakit Asma Dengan Penyuluhan Pada Keluarga Tn. H Di Dusun Botoputih Kecamatan Pakis Kabupaten Malang Jawa Timur

Background: Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of the respiratory tract with characteristics such as hypersensitivity, mucosal edema and mucus production. Knowledge and information about asthma is very important. Parents' knowledge about asthma can determine how much effort is made to prevent recurrence.
Objective: to analyze whether counseling can reduce the recurrence rate in Mr. H with asthma problems.
Method: The research in this final scientific work uses a case study report with a family nursing care approach. Researchers took part in the nursing assessment process which was accompanied by providing education to patients and families about asthma, providing health education materials and media (Leaflets).
Results: Counseling for families with asthma was considered effective in reducing asthma recurrence. Through counseling carried out by evaluating each meeting, the results obtained are that the patient can understand the disease he is suffering from, the behavior of the patient and family has met health goals, the patient can know and prevent recurrence of the disease.
Conclusion: Education can significantly influence the recurrence rate in patients with asthma.
