Abstract

Technology, information and communication are developing so rapidly with the aim of making it easier for humans to carry out their daily activities. Lamps which are the result of technological developments generally still use a switch system to turn the lights on and off. A remote light switch control system for efficient use of home electricity has been created. This light switch automation operates using commands sent by the home owner via SMS from their cellphone, so that home electricity control can still be controlled even from a long distance. This research aims to help optimize the use of electrical energy to be more efficient by using an Arduino nano microcontroller and a GSM module. This automatic control is quite complex and requires various integrated components with the ability to read input, process data and control output simultaneously and programmatically
