Abstract

The development of global dynamics has led to the emergence of global problems and encouraged countries around the world to cooperate. Globalization has been a major factor in this, creating interdependence between countries in various fields such as technology, information, natural resources, human resources, energy resources, trade, and education. The Indonesian government, both at the central and local levels, realizes the importance of international cooperation in facing the impact of globalization. This research aims to analyze the implementation of sister city cooperation between Denpasar City and Perth City in enhancing the creative economy industry in Bali from 2020 to 2022. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method with a focus on a deep description and analysis of a phenomenon or event. The results show that the sister city cooperation between Denpasar City and Perth City has been successful through the establishment of official cooperation, the involvement of various related agencies, a focus on creative economy and innovation, follow-up cooperation between universities, and support from other parties. The results of this collaboration include the launch of the Virtual Festival Indonesia Perth 2020 program, the development of digital market penetration using the name KOPITU House, and the capacity building of human resources, including through performing arts at the Indonesian Institute of the Arts Denpasar (ISI).
