Abstract

Background : The elderly phase is the final phase in the process of growth and development in this world. In this phase, there will be a decrease in body strength and function and there will be a loss of identity in an elderly person (Pusdatin Elderly, 2019). The aim of this nurse's final scientific work is to provide hypertension exercises to Mrs. M to lower blood pressure.
Method : The research method used is an analytical technique in the form of descriptive qualitative by focusing attention on descriptive data processing which aims to solve problems. The data obtained comes from interviews, observation and documentation.
Results : The results of the assessment showed one focus of nursing diagnosis, namely the risk of ineffective cerebral perfusion, for the action to be given, namely giving hypertension exercises to the client. Changes in blood pressure with each exercise will be measured using a manual sphygmomanometer.
Conclusion : Hypertension is one of the diseases most often found in the elderly because as a person ages, the body's immune system decreases, making them very susceptible to disease. Therefore, providing non-pharmacological treatment in the form of hypertension exercises is expected to help lower blood pressure in hypertensive elderly people, which is easy to do practically and independently while at home
