Abstract

DYNAMICS OF INDEPENDENT FARMING GROUPS IN PANDANREJO
VILLAGE, BUMIAJI DISTRICT, BATU CITY
Abstract
Group dynamics are joint movements carried out by group members
simultaneously and together in carrying out all group activities to achieve their goals.
Dynamic groups are characterized by effective and efficient activities or interactions,
both within and with parties outside the group, in an effort to achieve their goals. The
existence of agricultural groups has significant potential in shaping and changing the
behavior of their members, as well as developing their ability to work together.
Dynamic farmer groups are characterized by ongoing activities and interactions, both
within and with outside parties, as an effort to achieve group goals.
This research aims to analyze the level of dynamism of the Independent
Farmer Group in Pandanrejo Village, Bumiaji District, Batu City in terms of
elements of group dynamics. Analyzing socio-economic factors that influence the
dynamics of Independent Farmer Groups in Pandanrejo Village, Bumiaji District,
Batu City. The subject of this research is the Mandiri farmer group located in
Pandarejo Village, Bumiaji District, Batu City. This research will last for
approximately 6 months, namely from September 2023 to January 2024. The
research location is in Pasar Pandarejo Village, Bumuaji sub-district, Batu City.
The type of research used is a qualitative research method. In the context of this
research, it refers to all members of the Mandiri farmer group in Pandarejo Village,
totaling 22 people. The data collected in this research consists of primary data and
secondary data.
Research variables include age (X1), formal education level (X2), farming
experience (X3), land area (X4), number of dependents (X5), availability of
information (X6) and group dynamics (Y). Data analysis techniques use analysis
descriptive using class intervals and path analysis to determine the influence between
X1, X2, X3, X4, X5, on Y.
The research results show that the dynamics of the Mandiri farmer group in
Pandanrejo Village, Batu City is classified as "DYNAMIC". The socio-economic
factors of education level, farming experience and land area have a real/significant
influence on the level of dynamism of the farmer group, while the socio-economic
factors of age and number of family dependents do not have a real/significant
relationship with the dynamics of the Mandiri farmer group, Pandanrejo Village,
Batu City.
