Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of Al-Ghazali's concept of spiritual intelligence in the subject of Al Islam at 'Aisyiyah Boarding School Malang. The study employs a qualitative approach with a case study research design. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis utilizes the interactive data analysis method proposed by Miles and Huberman, involving data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the integration of the concept of Tazkiyatun Nafs, especially through the stages of Takhaliyat al-Nafs, Tahalliyat al-Nafs, and Tajalliyat al-Nafs, has been successfully carried out. This integration enriches the students' learning experiences, guides them in purifying the soul, and generates the manifestation of spiritual values in everyday behavior. The theoretical implications support the relevance and effectiveness of Al-Ghazali's spiritual intelligence concept in Islamic education, while the practical implications suggest directions for the development of teaching methods and student character. The propositions from this research highlight the need for more in-depth evaluation strategies and detailed measurement of student engagement. However, the limitations of this study include a limited sample size and a focus on a single school, necessitating careful consideration when generalizing the results.
