Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of using web enhanced course-assisted learning media on students' critical thinking abilities in class VIII C of Raden Fatah Middle School, Batu City. The subjects of this research were 30 students in class VIII C of Raden Fatah Batu Middle School. This research is research with a descriptive approach with a qualitative type of observation and student learning outcomes and quantitative in student responses. The analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of observation data, student activity reached an average of 81.24% with good criteria, which means that students were active during learning using web enhanced course media. The results of students' responses to each statement obtained a percentage of more than equal to 50%, which means that all the statement items are in the very strong category so it can be interpreted as positive student responses. The learning outcomes of students who achieved a score above the KKM were 24 students with an average score of 85.71%. Observation results showed that students' critical thinking abilities increased at each meeting with a percentage of 60.00% for the first meeting and 76.36% for the second meeting. It can be concluded that learning using web enhanced courses is effective and can improve students' critical thinking skills.
