Abstract

Hospital are facilities that provide services that can lead to environmental pollution and health issues. One effort to prevent this is the need for good sanitation in hospitals. This planning aims to determine the need for clean water and wastewater generated at the Pavilion Building of dr. Saiful Anwar Hospital. The method used in this planning is to compare the number of occupants, types and quantities of plumbing fixtures. To meet the need for clean water in the Pavilion Building of dr. Saiful Anwar Hospital, 136.8 m3/day of clean water is required, and the amount of wastewater generated is 109.44 m3/day. The capacity of the Ground Water Tank is 48 m3, and the Rooftank is 25 m3. Based on the calculation results, a transfer pump is used to flow water from the Ground Water Tank to the Rooftank with a flow capacity of 16.2 m3/hour. The pump used is the 3 kW CP 210B 4 HP 3 Phase Centrifugal Pump. The drainage system used is a separate system, where dirty water is first collected in a septic tank, while wastewater and medical waste go to the Wastewater Treatment Plant (IPAL), which will then be treated with an Aerobic-Anaerobic Biofilter process to ensure it is safe when discharged into public drains.
