Abstract

This research aims to identify the influence of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and Population on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Banten Province.

The study utilizes a quantitative descriptive approach, where data is collected through documentation methods obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Banten Province during the period of 2017-2022. The data is then analyzed using panel data regression method. The analysis results indicate that the probability value of Foreign Direct Investment (X1) is less than 0.05, indicating that Foreign Direct Investment has a positive and significant partial effect on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Banten Province from 2017 to 2022. Similarly, the Population (X2) shows a probability value less than 0.05, indicating that Population has a positive and significant partial effect on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Banten Province from 2017 to 2022. Both Foreign Direct Investment (X1) and Population (X2) simultaneously influence the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Banten Province from 2017 to 2022, and 33% of the variation is influenced by variables outside the scope of this study.
