Abstract

Development is the goal of a country. One indicator of successful development is increasing economic growth. Poverty is a problem in developing countries, one of which is Indonesia. Indonesia is ranked 4th with the largest population in the world. West Java is one of the largest provinces in Indonesia. The aim of this research is to find out what impact factors can influence poverty, unemployment and human development indices in urban areas in West Java in 2017-2021. The method used is quantitative. The type of data used is secondary which comes from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). Data analysis uses the panel data regression method. The results of this research are that the unemployment rate has a significant influence on poverty in urban areas in West Java. The human development index (HDI) has a significant effect on poverty in 9 cities in West Java.
