Abstract

This study aims to explain the Purchasing Department's strategy in optimizing the procurement of goods and revealing the Purchasing Department's Bargaining Power towards suppliers and the determinants of bidding power in Purchasing goods. Data collection is done by interview, direct observation and documentation. The sources used in this research are the Purchasing Manager, Purchasing Admin and Warehouse Team. The results of this study conclude that: How to optimize the procurement of goods is done with the procurement procedures that have been implemented in the company, making purchase plans to determine the estimated future needs of goods and selecting suppliers based on the criteria set by the company. The Bargaining Power strategy is carried out by the Purchasing Team to get the best supply that benefits the company. PT Indotama Seraya Artha's Bargaining Power is carried out by ensuring that the company's needs remain large while being balanced with high selling ability to be able to get discounts from suppliers, knowing information about product prices to strengthen Bargaining Power and ensure that the company gets cheaper prices than market prices, having more than one supplier to avoid unilateral decisions from suppliers that can harm the company and establish good relations with suppliers.
